I (John) started feeling less than excited about my impending big birthday. Sometimes depression and anxiety can put you in a dark place. When that happens it’s important to reach out and connect with someone. In the end, I spent my birthday surrounded by friends and family, and had a wonderful celebration. I came out of it in a much brighter place. I am grateful for my loving kids, stepsons, granddaughter, friends, readers of our comic, and of course my beautiful, talented & patient partner in life & comics Lisa Burdige.
